there is sourcemod (the default) rtv and there is this included rtv

sourcemod rtv will take nominations and build a list from that and pad like "mapchooser" does (calls mapchooser)

this included rtv will ignore all nominations and instead build a map list like "mapvote" does (it will actually call mapvote)

So you have to chooser which one to use.

People have requested that it should use mapvote and nominations but none have said how it actually should work.

i like it when if you type nominate or maps or vote or votemap,
you get a popup.

then you pick a map or 9.next, 0.close.
right?
each player gets a max nominations (2)
with admins having immunity flag to it.

have special file so this maplist can be
ordered and grouped in special ways.

your needs are covered by sourcemods rtv which does what you want and can be used without conflict with mapvote

i want a queue for voting like rounds left or timeleft.
this is how mapvote is, but not rtv.

how can i trick rtv into initiating itself when one
team has won > 25 rounds?
then, it would be what i want.

either that, or mapvotes during the mp_chattime
but no one has conquored that config yet.

I am sorry I don't understand what you want. Why a queue for rtv, please explain.

What config? mapvote? (Yes, the documentation for mapvote isn't very well so please come with suggestion to improve it)

my preference would be "nominate mapname" in chat to be the method of map voting.
nextmap by nomination count, yes. if that is like 'rtv', ok,
but ^^ thats ^^ my choice for how to choose next map.
how to get rtv to autostart itself say, at round #20 thou?

and mp_chattime is the time after the map ends (by time or rounds
won or rounds played or max frags). i have my mp_chattime set
to 30 seconds for a sound byte to play out between maps (pee
time?). i have always wanted this duration to be the map choosing
time rather than during the actual rounds <-- that is what i meant
no one has a config for. none of the mapvote systems can vote
during the time interval that valve calls chattime.

and that would be a first for a mapvote to initiate during the
chattime. thats the config i meant

Hello zerak. I love the plugin and I'm running it on my TF2 server. It works great the majority of the time, however, I've run into a snag in trying to get the perfect setup.

I have the plugin set to allow voting for every map when the server has over a certain number of people, but only allow voting for maps that fill the server (filler maps) and maps of a low population friendly play style (arena maps) when it's below that number. The filler maps get played often when the server is full, because they're so popular.

The problem comes in here:
We've had a couple instances where the server has gotten close to dieing after the filler maps were played in succession. Therefore, they get excluded from the low population vote because they were played within the last # maps, leaving only arena maps to choose from. I would set sm_mapvote_exclude to 0, but that would mess up the high population vote, because slots would be taken by maps that have been played recently.

Essentially, I'd like to have the plugin set sm_mapvote_exclude to 1 when the server is at high population or 0 when its at low population. A cvar in mapchooser.cfg would be nice to define the upper limit of low population or the lower limit of high.

A more flexible solution would be to make a new map cvar that (if set to 1) would make a map skipped by sm_mapvote_exclude. Then for me to have two instances of the same map in mapvote.ini; one for high population with the cvar set at 1 and a min, and one for low population with the cvar set at 0 and a max.

Is this doable?

Thanks for your time! Again, this plugin is wonderful. My regulars sing its praises.

search for the 'exec configs' plugin on these forums.
then have it exec your cvar for 0 for x players on,
and 1 for y # of players on...

its for controlling cvars per # of players and will
work for you in case you dont get your change
within this plugin.
...also, i read through this thread and the author
has already suggested using the 'exec config'
plugin for cvar changes to another user so this
is probably your main option.

nice work on your map setup. sounds like a good
workup.
