ok, I've been thinking on this awhile, on how to make it "harder" and also more customizable.

for the customizing end, gonna add a cvar to allow server admins to decide if the CT's skills reset on round or on map.

as for making it harder, I've decided that each time you win, the amount of ammo you receive per kill is reduced by 5. I will also make a cvar that admins can customize how much ammo given is reduced. so, if you were to hate this idea, you could set it to 0 and it would not reduce ammo given to the OMA.

anyone like this idea?

Just a short message that I did not abandon the thread / mod, just not a lot of time this week, I'll be updating my servers with the mod shortly and give some feedback, will also translate the few new lines in Dutch.

small update:

not to let the cat out of the bag, but I'm working on the next version of One man army. The game will now involve money and once I'm done with these additions/modifications I think this plugin/mod will really start feeling/acting like a true rpg. That is all I can say for now. Look forward to the update!

edit: Looks like Friday is not going to happen, at least not this week.
But all who are translating, please have the translation done by at least next Friday! Thanks!

Update:

Ok, so it looks like I'm going to have a Friday evening release for the new version of One Man Army. The english translation file is done, so I am attaching it here so it can be all translated when I release the new version Friday evening(central time).

All that is left to do is work out some small bugs and do final testing!

Right now, I'm brainstorming and making some changes to OMA. However, the release date is still set at this Friday, November 13.

Thanks to a nice community member at XPG, I now have a Swedish translation for the mod. Still waiting on the Dutch and Russian translations.

  • Added buy menu
  • Added experience system for the OMA
  • Added skill: Steal Money
  • Added skill: Find Money
  • Added Items system
  • Added Find items and cash functionality - touch a movable prop and it will tell you if you found something
  • Added Goodiebox - when the OMA kills a CT there is a chance that a "goodie box" will drop and can give the OMA health, armor repair/boosts, etc.
  • Added new item cvars for the buy menu, if any of these prices are set to -1 it will restrict the item.
  • Added new cvar sm_oma_xpreq "1000" how much experience is required for the OMA to level up
  • Added new cvar sm_oma_maxlvl "18" The level at which to give the OMA the final weapon to end the game
  • Added new cvar sm_oma_teamplay "1" When enabled, the OMA can choose up to 4 teammates at level 2.
  • Added buyzones are now removed at the start of every round
  • Changed Money is now enabled
  • Changed map now ends when the OMA wins.
  • Changed After level 5, CTs lose experience when they die, but they can buy it back via the buy menu.
  • Changed OMA mode 2 is now a loot item in the goodie box.
