Hi,

I've got some trouble updating SM on my servers host.

I have limited right (can't delete) on some dll files located in :

1. addons/sourcemod/bin
2. addons/sourcemod/extension
3. addons/sourcemod/extension/auto2.l4d/

I've asked them once to give me the rights on those files. But after deleting and replacing them, i've got the same limited right on the same files.

Well i've just renamed and moved them to another folder meanwhile, but i would like to know if you got any ideas on how to solve my pproblem.

Ask them to give you permissions for all directories in that tree rather than just those files.

I am the one creating the folder through ftp and moving SM files on it.
I should have permission on them.

Furthermore i can delete some dll for example in the addons/sourcemod/bin :

sourcemod.1.ep1.dll
sourcemod.2.ep2.dll

But i can't delete those one :

- sourcemod.2.l4d.dll
- sourcemod_mm.dll
- sourcespawn.jt.x86.dll

Maybe another idea ?

Is the server running at that time?

You can't alter .dll files while the server is running. Windows locks the files.

yeah my bad.
I though that unloading sourcemod would be enough.

When you unload SourceMod (via meta unload), the DLLs should become writable again.
