left 4 dead 2, server running on linux, but its a dedicated server, not my comp. to get the sm exts list, do i connect to the server and type into console "sm_exts_list" ? i'm still kind of new to modding.

CBaseServer extension does not work for L4D I am afraid. You'd have to use something specific for L4D. It only works for ep2valve games and below.

You'll want to consult the cbaseserver extension thread for that, which is linked in the original post. You need an updated binary.

Should I be removing the reservedslots.smx that comes with SM for this? I assume so?

than i can have reserved slots without a slot have to be free?? and works it only when the player connect over console or normal too?? sry for my bad english
