Hey - I'm looking for a VERY simple plugin to auth players in my community. Basically, all it has to do, is to check a database if a player is banned or not. That's all, no web interface or anything, we do all that stuff from phpmyadmin or console.

Point is, our banned.cfg is getting HUGE, and authing/banning players via AMXX would be SO much easier. It would also make it simple to create websites etc. that could hook into the database - and decide from a flag therein if someone is admin, player, or even banned.

The order of functions i had in mind:

1. Player connects to server
2. Plugin gets Players STEAM_ID
3. Plugin checks database (If player's STEAM_ID has 0 or 1 in the "banned" column)
4. Player gets one of the two following messages (perhaps configurable via a .cfg file?) "You are authed - enjoy gaming with us!" or "We are sorry to inform You that Your STEAM_ID is banned. Please visit www.somesite.com for more information".

Advantage here, is that it would (i hope) be very easy to create a similar plugin for Source - for using the same column in the same database for authing players. Bottom line - better administration for admins and authing players, and faster loadtimes (especially for hlds) because no huge banned.cfg is being executed.
