Sure about that? I'm running debian woody here with a few backports and dont have tls installed and have all kinds of packages on the server like mysql, apache, cyrus, ...

If players are in, server crashes randomly with segfault nearly every 5 minutes.

It seems to be related with loaded CSX Module. I disabled it, and no crashes yet.
Forget about it, it doesn´t depends on CSX Module as it seems, still crashes only some minutes later

Look at this:
Code:
apt-get remove libgnutls*

The following packages will be REMOVED:
  at exim gnupg libgnutls10 libgnutls11 libldap2 lynx mailx mutt mysql-server
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 10 to remove and 3 not upgraded.
Does not look like a good idea, but I'll try to run the server without this directory.

libgnutls10 libgnutls11

I'd say you're running sid.

Sarge, but there's no big difference. I just wanted to show that a "clean" removal has big consequences for MySQL!

I removed the tls-lib manually and tried AMXModX again. But still crashing with the same debug.log

Code:
ldd amxmodx_mm_i386.so
     libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x4008f000)
     libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x40093000)
     libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x400b5000)
     /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x80000000)
Now there are used other libraries than before.

Okay, to continue the story:

Without TLS same crashes.

Now I got the sources via CVS and compiled the files myself. With gcc 3.3 I got errors with the compiled files, but with 2.95 everything works fine the last 6 hours - with active players. I'll report some days later if this works without segfaults.

Edit: Still crashing

Well. Depends. I personally haven't seen a segfault for the full 4 years I've been administering servers...

Don't know if it works for you guys, but I got rid of Segmentation fault by changing -pingboost 1 into -pingboost 3 (it is more cpu/bandwith consuming, but it is steady). This ended my countless streak of crashes. Last week however, I had to update kernel too (I'm running Suse 9.0 professional).
It's a Czero server with Metamod 1.17.3 and HLguard 1.60.08 with AMXX 1.0. I'm also running all stats plugins.
