We have a fastdl server setup, all the files are in one folder that are trying to be downloaded.

We have 7 mp3 files, and only 2 download when joining the server.

The two that download are 24 and 27kb, the others that won't download are 56-61kb

Everything was rendered in the correct output for csgo (44100hz)

They don't download at all, dont even try to download at all, no errors in console relating to downloading the files.

Sorry if this is wrong section just looking for some help regarding this.

Can you mention, which host you are using for uploading files?
Does normal maps work? (Don't mix workshopmaps...)

What do you mean by what host are we using to upload to, we would be using our own host in that case.

yes normal maps all work, and even workshop maps downloaded on the first join of the server

AFAIK, you can only use the Workshop or self-hosted maps with fast download. Not both together.

we tried a vanilla server with no plugins what so ever, fastdl still wouldn't download the sound files at all.

it always downlods the lvlranks levelup and leveldown sounds everytime. And that is also in the fastdl

Since you didn't post your downloadurl or state the plugin you are using to make files download my guess is that you aren't using a plugin to force downloads to clients.

sv_downloadurl by itself doesn't download anything, and it isn't supposed to. Its purpose is to establish the location where files can be obtained from. To make server files download to connecting clients you have to tell the server which files need to be downloaded.

The easiest way to do that is to use a plugin designed to download files and/or folders of files. Examples of these plugins include;
'Folder Downloader and Precacher' by SpirT https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=2739618
'SM File/Folder Downloader and Precacher' by SWAT_88 https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=69005

Wow thank you so much, I couldn't find this stuff anywhere after days of googling the problem.
