Why do you think that there's no Halloween celebration in the balkan countries? (bosnia, serbia etc).

One answer for this is that the irish people didnt emigrate to the balkan countries, it might have been poor in these countries. Instead they emigrated to the USA.

But can you come up with some more "answers"?

Most of Balkan countries are Orthodox Christians, but Halloween is Catholic holiday.

If we look at the history there were famine in ireland, this cause millions of irish people to emigrate to the USA. But cant it be also that the USA was big and could carry more population then the other countries? Maybe USA was the richest country.

I would have to agree with his statement and leave it at that. Being a wealthy country has nothing to do with why they celebrate Halloween or not. Companies will capitalize on the idea that customers will spend to celebrate a holiday but again it has nothing to do with being a wealthy country.
