I dont know how feasible that task is, but yea it would be very usefull. How i wish more people used updater in their plugins
Dr. Mckay released a really awesome include that simplifies Updater integration, and I built my own version based on it. The only issue is that, well, it's making a fuckton of cvars. This is necessary at this time, but if Updater itself could be configured to ignore certain plugins' Update requests...

Going back to the issue here:
https://forums.alliedmods.net/showth...89#post2211589

I am running a development version of the plugin in question (I forgot to disable auto-updating.) When Updater checks for an update, it sees that the version number is different, and it downloads the new version. It deletes the old version, but then fails to rename the new file to what the old file was. The new file has all characters in its filename converted to lower-case, and has the .temp extension tacked on. This bug now seems to happen CONSISTENTLY on my development server.

Perhaps there is an issue with capitalization and SteamTools?

No error logs are created, and the Updater.log indicates nothing but success.

I will remove the capital letter and see if the error continues tomorrow.

Any Mod? Really!? I do not think so. Plus the extension calls for a shared library which is not available for our Linux Distro. So thanks.

We are promptly removing all of these from our CS:GO servers.

Best Regards,
Krillin

Updater supports 2 other extensions that aren't SteamTools.

This is not Sourcemod's gamedata updater. This is a plugin that updates plugins; plugin makers can optionally integrate this into their plugins and have them support automatic updates.

Sourcemod's gamedata updater is completely unrelated, it comes with Sourcemod, and should grab the latest gamedata every time the server starts.
