hi, using latest sourcemod build, whenever I choose to /banip 0 ipaddress
or /banip 0 nick

plugin prints:

[SM] You cannot ban that IP address.

I have root admin rights ^__^

well, I think that I 1st saw it in build 16**
before that it worked fine

What is the person's access level and IP?

I tried to ban many users

from different segments.

83.223..
217.210..
91.190..

it didn't work if I tried to ban nickname / full nickname / ip.

is it working on your servers?

maybe I should look for that problem in my configuration.

But I doubt that, I tried a fresh install of css and and just sourcemod.

i'm root, they are without accsess.

I got the same problem, and my friend to who just made a fresh install of the server. It worked just fine then one or two weeks ago it stopped working and i get [SM] You cannot ban that IP address. It's really annoying because alot of people on my server i lan people on my school and some of them cheat, and i wanna ban their LAN IP.

I still got the same problem with my server i am unable to ban anyone with sm_banip and that really not good.

also have problems with sm_banip
i can ban with sm_banip, if i use nick or userID.
but if i use IP...

] sm_banip "123.123.123.123" "0" "cheat"
[SM] You do not have access to this command

so i can't ban 'offline' players

ps. Admin access: res, admin, kick, ban, unban, slay, chat, vote

You need the "root" or "rcon" flags to ban by IP. For some reason the wiki page is wrong.
