I have been running jetpack deathmatch for almost a year and it's a busy server now. We have been through alot of maps and have come to find out that people really like the small fy maps. Gameplay is much faster. It also depends if u are running ffa or team deathmatch. Basically big skyboxes are fun to fly around in but u have to keep everyone confined to a small map for fast gameplay. A fun map for jetpack is "aim ag texture city advanced".

L. Duke,

Remember when coldfry imported jetpack for zombiemod? Is there any way we could implement his jetpack expiry so users are limited to use n seconds per round?

Thanks,
Lex

i just set up a server today. Jetpack is working but i wanna change the sound back to "npc/manhack/mh_engine_loop2.wav"

it says:If you wish to change the sound, add jetpack_sound "soundname" to the
autoexec.cfg file.

For example, to use the sound of the original jetpack plugin add:

jetpack_sound "npc/manhack/mh_engine_loop2.wav"

the problem is , i don't have a "autoexec.cfg" file. I'm winging it here, help!

By default on a fresh server autoexec.cfg isn't automatically created.

You should create it.

I installed the jetpack. It works. I changed the jetpack sound and it plays. The problem I have is that it's not looping. It only plays the sound once and then silence.

You need to choose a sound that loops. A wav file has to have a specific marker inserted that tells it to loop. If the sound you picked isn't looping, then it probably wasn't originally intended to.
