Why do people think complaining will fix everything?

What they are saying is:

Build a new engine/game because they don't like interpolation.

If they had half a brain they would realise how stupid they actually sound.

The letter to valve is simply "Valve - Fix Your Game". Can we get this moved to trash by some chance?

I'm still laughing hard. We should leave the thread for lols!

I believe the OP is also completely clueless as to what these retards are petitioning for... which is a new game engine.

Edit: The networking concept wont change, i would love to see Valve invest in this.

As far as I know, it's not interpolation that's the problem (interpolation and lag compensation make games playable lol), the issue are hitboxes that don't align properly with player models. But Valve is currently taking care of that in CS:GO beta releases I think.

As for 128 tick servers, sure, that would be very welcome.

And VAC is there and works wonderfully, I think, it's just that it doesn't ban instantly but in waves.

VAC can ban instantly. I see VAC as being very similar to old school antivirus technology. Any detections of known cheat "definitions" are banned on the spot. New cheats wont be banned until a definition is created. New definitions will roll back over previous VAC scans causing "ban waves" and any new detections cause instant bans.

That is in fact more or less accurate to how VAC works.

And they don't ban instantly or else it introduces an easy feedback loop that cheat writers can exploit (install cheat, get banned, modify cheat, get banned, ... and once they don't get banned, they know for certain it is VAC proof).

Exactly. I don't understand how some of the players actually manage to get constant hits though.
This problem is there on all Source engine games, and has been there since 2004 starting with CSS.
I really doubt they'll fix it tho. You don't just wake up 12 years later to fix a problem. This is Valve we're talking about. Don't have any expectations.

128 tick and low ping don't help when it comes to this problem if that's what you're referring to.

Not sure about that. Had a friend that got 2 accounts banned and he wasn't cheating. He might of had some malware or something but I doubt there are malwares that just get your account VAC banned.
