you can use any model as long as they are rigged to a tf2 skeleton, so you would need to do this since these models are made for gmod and tf2 and gmod skeletons are different.

There's actually three things you can do:
- Rig it to a TF2 skeleton
- Rip it from some source with animations intact, and reassign said animations to corresponding TF2 animations/events.
- Make one/rip one from anywhere and custom animate it, assign said animations to corresponding TF2 animations/events.

Probably listed in order of time required to achieve. ;) The last two are a bit more advanced.
