do i need the misc module for this to work and if so where do i get it from because i cant find it anywhere.

"misc" isn't a module, it's included in the amxx core.
so it's always loaded

i have this loaded on my CS 1.6 server with AMXX .20 TP4 and it works fine

I have amxx 0.16 perhaps that is the reason then?

even when i had .16 loaded on my server it worked fine so it mustve been one of the plugins conflicting with it. or your joinleave.txt was in the wrong spot. it goes in the configs directory of amxx

Yea i have put it in there and have my sounds in the sounds directory.
