Why doesn't said "infringing" code get removed so SMAC can be hosted here again?

All that would have to be done is GPL copyright headers added into every .sp file and the files could again be distributed freely. "infringing code" doesn't even really exist anymore, but since SMAC is originally based on KAC unless everything gets completely rewritten it still has to abide to the original license under which KAC was released meaning every single file has to have a GPL copyright header. SMAC did incude the GPL license the only thing missing was a copyright header/comment in every single scripts source. This whole copyright issue is just stupid and it all started from Kigen (original KAC developer) being an ass who tried to get the whole alliedmodders website shutdown because he couldn't wait for those headers to be added into SMAC which would have happened but instead of waiting for that he started sending DMCA notices to everybody linking to/hosting SMAC.

I believe Kigen waited 6 months for them to re-add the headers from what I read somewhere? If that's the case then he gave them plenty of time and that statement is false.

Judging by when that thread was made he waited around 1 month, and in that time the smac developers did add the licenses themselves but not the headers in every file. Still at the very least he could have warned us that he will have to escalate the issue into a DMCA notice if the problem doesn't get solved soon instead of just blindly starting to spam DMCA notices to everyone. In the end everyone suffers just because of some missing header that has to be in place purely because of licensing terms, it's not like kigen suffered in any way from the missing copyright headers everyone was already well aware of the fact SMAC is based on KAC.
