windows server > linux server ???

so my csgo surf server crashed 3 times in the past hour, i contacted support telling them that its kinda weird to be getting so many crashes when I ordered their "Ultraaccelerator [Linux setup with FPS Locker / up to 128 tick]", which causes the server to run on a specially optimized linux sever

heres their response:

"Hi,

Since you recently switched to the ultra option that could be the cause of the crashing, especially since you are running plugins. Going from hyper to ultra means going from Windows to linux. Most plugins do not work well in Linux especially if they are not tested or supposed to work while running on that OS"

first time I've heard someone say windows servers are better than linux, is this true?
