Hi there,

I recently asked someone to join my CS:GO server so he could test something. Before that, I port forwarded all the stuff usually needed.

When under CSS, I'm able to connect to my server via public IP :

Connecting to 123.My.Public.Ip...
Connected to 123.My.Public.Ip:27015

But when under CSGO, I'm only able to connect via private ip (local network ip). When connecting through public IP I get :

Also on the server side, I get :

Server waking up from hibernation
->Reservation cookie 0: reason reserved(yes), clients(no), reservationexpires(0.00)
Server is hibernating

Any clues what the problem is ? :/

(Of course, sv_lan 0)

Help would be appreciated.

I've had some trouble connecting to the server thats on my pc as well, what seems to work is using the server browser to connect to it, not sure why. other's can't connect using the steam friends list either and need to use the server browser.. :/

It sounds like your server is configured to only accept traffic from lobbies. However, I don't really know enough about CS:GO to say that for sure.

Connecting via server browser do it by lan (since when you right click it says your private network ip)

Mmmm I don't know what "lobbies" are, but I'll search around when I get time; maybe some stupid CVar somewhere...

Zander's post did work. It's a dumb bug from Valve.
