This has probably been asked like, a million times. But I need to run my server behind my mcafee antivirus firewall. If it's up then others can't see that my server is up. I don't know how to forward ports or anything. HelP?

I think things like portforwarding* won't work in this situation.
At first you should check your firewall's settings if you can allow access to specified ports or to allow specific programs (like your hlds) to acces the internet as it likes.

*forwarding ports would be an option if you were behind a router
