Yes I solved it. The problem lied with the hostname, I actually used the correct hostname according to the host provider but it somehow didn't seem to work. using localhost solved it.

And for the part that I sounded like I didn't try your suggestion :/ I actually did try it and it didn't work.

you just said, you were on the wrong webpanel all along.
if you want to test it you can do that now, and if i just did it and it works fine then i know its the same for you. i got latest DB and latest webpanel.
