If you use/like this plugin and have made any Custom OOB-Zones in any maps, I would greatly appreciate it if you post them here so I may include them into the release package.

(post the <mapname>.oob files only plz)

Not all posted files may be used, I will determine if the custom zone/punishment/delay is appropriate for public release.

Any/all help will definetly be accredited!! Thx in advance!!

EDIT:
I will also be adding Custom Zone Files for the basic maps like de_dust, de_dust2, de_aztec but only as I make them.. and they do not need to be used if you want to make your own..

just tested.

So,

Very good plugin. Useful, no doubt about this.
But setting a map, saving it with height, HP and punishment is boring. Moreover like you told, it doesn't work without oob folder in /custom. I suggest to add in your package some maps with the .oob extension in which the area would be the whole map. I don't think most of users will try to set an area but they would like a punishment whatever the place.
I hope you understand.

Yes, I will be adding Custom Zone Files to the custom/oob/ directory soon, I just have to make/test them.. I plan on adding zones for at least the most common maps, but other custom maps will require using the Zone Builder plugin.. which is rather simple anyway..

My primary concern when restricting spots is to prevent campers or abusers of spots otherwise unreachable.. Mainly, to prevent access to spots in the map that give the player an unfair advantage..

Anyway, this plugin doesn't exactly use one big zone that players must stay inside, it is opposite: players must not enter any of the smaller restricted zones.. so any given map may have more than one zone (each with seperate punishment/delay)..

yay he made it!!

thanks muchly xeroblood. i will start making and posting OOB files shortly.

umm on that note can you post a definition of the fields in the oob files.

i figure its something like

==== corner 1 === === corner 2===
X-axis Z-axis Y-Axis X-axis Z-axis Y-Axis #Time #Punishment
___________^^ bottom ________^^ top

a list of numbers and punishments that corespond would be handy.

i will prbly be hand making a few of them via a map editor to get the co-ordinates or at least for tweaking them.

if you could have oob_start_zone take the first Y-axis at foot level and oob_save_zone take it at head level it would become far more versatile whem making zones in game, and would save ppl having to hand edit the files. (i dont mind myself but other may not know how to)

can the displying of the oob box edges be changed?

0 = not at all
1 = only when defining / inside
2 = all the time (for debuging/testing)

any way of deleting hitboxes from in game? oob_delete_zone for the zone you are currently in. no biggie, i can do it by hand easily enough

will putting text in teh .oob files stop them functioning? i want to put a commented description above each line eg:

;the zone above bomb_B tunnel exit 3 second delay then fire
-2108 1786 230 -1729 1601 395 2 3

so that i can go back and know what zone to edit later

umm very cool : )
