And you need either sourcemod 1.3 or 1.4 + metamod 1.8 or 1.9

Yeh I tried that one this morning did another full reinstall and now my l4d2 servers ain't crashing but will see if I can get more that 4 people on coop!

Is there anything I can get to work for my l4d1 servers? I have looked around the forums and there isn't that much really to help.
L4DToolZ will crash my l4d1 servers so I can't use that, I've tried loads of other plugins but nothing works!

I have a l4d1 & 2 server/s on my home dedi running windows and they work fine (L4DToolZ & Bebop)

It's just linux on my main hosting box (Self managed) I just can't get anything to work properly! My clan isn't into versus they like coop but most of them only have l4d1

Did you try this one for your L4D1 server? I don't own a l4d 1 server anymore so I don't know if it works.

Tried that one servers crash as soon as anyone tries to join the servers

Then it's probably a problem with the way Ivailosp made the linux binaries for L4D1. I remember the first l4d2 linux versions of l4dtoolz used to crash my server aswell, but in a later version that was fixed.
You'll have to use downtown for your l4d1 server.

Tried downtown looks like it not supported any more for l4d1

Downtown is still working though, it is most likely unsupported becuase valve stopped supporting L4D1 a long time ago. There will be one more update for L4D1 but thats probably it. Try using the old 0.3.1 version and it will work.

I have the same problem. Hope this is fixable. Downtown has the same problem as well.

When I play I always connect manually or through steam group servers. Those are servers that are always full, hard to imagine they all do that.

This is no longer an issue for me. I just needed to advertise the server some more and people eventually filled it up.

Did what was suggested for l4d1 and this is the error message for downtown:
