Many bullshit there.

The only thing that can be done with a legal steam client is bitching in the config, download of unwanted legal game files or download of a corrupted file in example, a virus in a bsp, mdl, spr, sound.

But downloading a virus with a legal steam extension such as a game file, is just downloading it, it's not the same as running it as a virus.

Legal 1.6 can only read bsp as map, mdl as models, and sprite as spr. If your game try to run a corrupted file the game will not be able to read it and you will have a game crash error likely.

So yeah, if you don't run the virus the way it was designed, and your PC is virus free, it will never infect your PC that is.

And here come the so called no steam client. Some people had a great idea to not put directly the virus in, so that way it remain undected by antivirus.

But it's more vicious because the no steam client have in his code a way to run the downloaded from a server corrupted files, in the way they was design, infection of computer.

Aka no steam is not safe.

But it can also load .sav files. .sav file is pack of files that are extracted by the game when it load this .sav. File from .sav can be extracted in the root folder of the game (where hl.exe is located) and this file can have .asi extension. If file has .asi extension and is located in the root folder then it will be loaded by the sound engine of the game. So thats how you can get virus from the server with legit steam client.

Also, if you select a wrong server, u getting about viruses inside your Counter Strike 1.6 Folder (not cstrike folder!), there's something wrong hidden files that you cannot see when selected hidden files...

For example that UCProtector is installed your computer inside the Counter Strike Folder and if you play Half Life and saving and load the game, if you look the console, that "load" command was blocked by UCProtector. Causing damage your computer or???

You can't delete it, the Antivirus seems not detected by virus, and was hidden...

And this could be a method , function was lost with time (in hlds but not in hw.dll)

bypassing CL_LoadSecurityModules() it is almost identical operation with .sav file

---Server Skins are put by players in CS 1.6 Skins, otherwise, when you join the other server, the server looks like sh*t, but it replaced your skins if you are playing with Bots. Hostages, Models or more have been replaced by connecting to other servers while you downloading maps and skins.---

Players may rebuy/reinstall Counter-Strike 1.6 or restore/backup files.
