Last week I updated my L4D2 server with Steam CMD like I've done many times before. However this time when I as ADMIN whet to change maps I did not see any of the ported L4D1 maps i.e Smallviel Houseboat or Rooftop listed. I did not see any of these maps listed as an addon with my other custom maps.

My questions are:
1. Did the L4D1 maps get removed from L4D2 with the last upgate?
2. Is there another source for these ported L4D1 maps? I.e. like Gamemaps.com or Gamebanana?
3. Can I use the L4D1 maps from a L4D1 game or dedicated server, on a L4D2 server?

Thank's for you reply Silvers. However, can you please elaborate on what your reply is trying to tell me.

I understand that the L4D1 maps were ported or embedded over to or in L4D2 . After the last upgate a few weeks ago I can't find these maps on my server. They arn't on my Admin's list so I'd just like to know if I can get these maps from a download somewhere or should I re-download the L4D2 server files again and hope that the L4d1 map show up? All my other map addons are still on my Admins list just the L4d1 maps seem to be missing.

The maps are inside the dlc folders.

left4dead2 > left4dead2_dlcX > maps

Thank's for Your help TomL. How do I get them to show up on the Admins Maplist?
Before the last update when I would hit F1 become Amin hit 2 to access the Map menu, and the map named Houseboat would be listed 4th. i would hit 4 and the map would change to it. Now I can't even find it. Assuming that it is insyde here, left4dead2 > left4dead2_dlcX > maps. What do I do to the folder to select the map? Has it moved to the end of the list under a different name? I'm still confused.

You need to add them to the map list or just use the chat command !map NAME to change the map.

OK! This morning I found a old L4D2 server from 2014 on a old hd. I looked inside inside the 1st L4D2 folder and found the the Left4dead2_dic1,2,3 folders along with a left4dead_lv folder. a platform folder and a update folder. So I guess that my SteamCmd update on 6/30/2019 did not download them. Thats why I was having trouble locating them from the help all of you were giving me. I will add these missing files from my 2014 dedicated server to my 6/30/2019 server and hope that they will show up on my Admins map list. I will report back here on my results.

Sorry I'm so late with trhe results of adding the missing dic1,dic2,dic3 and Update folders to my Left4dead2 dedicated server. Those files were not included to the L4d2 dedicated server file download I recieved on 6/30/2019. Just testes my server and I can now play the L4d1 maps i.e houseboat and rooftop that I was missing. They are now back on my Admin's Menu like before the update.
