Hi guys, first i say sorry for the language, but iam not english, iam italian, and i cant speak a very perfect english.

my problem is the gameinfo.txt.

i have read several topic about that, but i cant find a good post to say me what i do...

i will create a lan server...

in the file txt i have type the line

"GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin,

i launch CSS, and when i close again CSS, the txt file return to original file, without the line.

Why???

I have tried to make it "only read", but it dont work, i have tried to run gameinfofixer, but nothing.

Why the gameinfo rewriting itself? i'm wrong? is the plugin with error?

however, i have post to you my complete step...

1)- Cut the folder "addons" and paste in cstrike, with inside the folder "cssdm" and the folder "metamod"

2)- In the cssdm folder there are:

• changelog.txt
• credits.txt
• license.txt
• cssdm.cfg
• And two folder with the spawnpoint file

3)- In the metamod folder there are:

• metaplugins.ini
• And another folder called "bin" with the server.dll inside

4)- i return to cstrike folder, i open the gameinfo.txt and whe i find the code_

SearchPaths
		{
			Game		         	|gameinfo_path|.
			Game				cstrike
			Game				hl2
		}

i change to

SearchPaths
		{
                         GameBin			|gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin
			Game				|gameinfo_path|.
			Game				cstrike
			Game				hl2
		}

5)- after i open the file metaplugin.ini and i add the following line:

• addons/cssdm/bin/cssdm_mm

i wait for your answers

i have read this page and i have created the bat file with the following string:

cd "cstrike"
copy GameInfo.txt.mms GameInfo.txt
cd ..
hl2.exe -insecure -console -game cstrike

and it work....

http://www.sourcemm.net/ -> Update Tools (All OSes) is another way to do it. It a vdf plugin that will fix the gameinfo.txt and then unload itself.
