What about having class specific buy menus? Where it detects what class you are, then shows a menu off that.

Such as, if your medic.. it'll show options to buy for uber/whatever else medic specific, that way you don't have to sort through everything and possibly buy something and have it wasted because you're NOT a medic.

It'll fix the givenameditem issue for the spy as well. Just don't let the spys buymenu have anything with givenameditem in it.

Sometimes after typing !buy, it lags the server for about 10 seconds and people start to lose connection. Then it returns to normal and the menu shows up.

I have this, and with the rtrigs plugin, I can make it so that during waiting for players, friendly fire and instant respawn is on.

Each kill in wfp grants 10 points, whereas normally you would only get 5 points per kill during the game. The wfp is extended to 60 seconds.

It leads to very much fun and hilarity.

Hello everybody, when I type !buy or !buymenu in the chat box, nothing happens. The plugin seems to be correctly installed because when I type with the rcon : sm_candy_version

I get : "sm_candy_version" = "0.5.0"

two possibilities:
1. your database settings are incorrect
2. the buymenu.txt is wrong or not in the right place
also check your server console for error messages.

The buymenu.txt is in /addons/sourcemod/configs and I did not touch it. It's the one on your first post.

For the database, I just downloaded the N1G-TF2-RANK plugin and installed it without touching something.

databases are a really complicated ordeal. You cant make it better by not touching anything. You have to touch EVERYTHING. The N1G-TF2-RANK plugin doesnt require mysql to work. MySQL is needed for web interface.

You first have to setup mysql, and some gamehosts do not allow mysql on the gamehost machine. You should really ask your gameserver host provider first. If they do allow for it then you could probably load up the sql plugins under addons/sourcemod/plugins/disabled. To be honest, I dont know much about this avenue of options.


But if you have a webhost they usually have mysql and you can give your gamehost server remote access to it. This is what I do.

Can you post your error logs? we can't help you until we know the exact problem. Error logs are in addons/sourcemod/logs and the file with errors3892912 or something like that, get the one with the highest number.

Could you make it so when people buy stuff it notifies everyone via HSay? Ie.

Player has bought: Invisibility

Just like sm_hsay but it doesn't have Console: in front of it
