Nice idea.
Ehm for quality, try searching for some audio converting software. Besides, AFAIK Source engine only support .wav files with some specific bitrate. I dont remember which one exactly

Got almost all sounds from original Biohazard in better quality (most of them was in HL2 and Zombie Panic Source)

deathsounds are probably coming from Half-Life's monsters.

Yeah, I can't recognize them either. :/ Well, as I said above try converting them, to make them suitable for the Source engine.

search in the Valve directory, or within the .gcf files, everything is there.
