Hello everyone,

I'm configuring dedicated servers for a eSports startup company.
Our first 5v5 is this friday and I'm looking to implement GOTV with a delay.

My current config for gotv now is:

    mp_spectators_max 0
    tv_delaymapchange 1
    tv_enable 1
    tv_delay 120
    tv_snapshotrate 32
    tv_name "BeSports GOTV"
    tv_title "BeSports GOTV"
    tv_maxclients 64
    tv_timeout 20
    tv_transmitall 1

I put one player afk in the server so the server doesn't hibernate.
But everytime I try to connect to the gotv server I get: "Joining Game" and a few seconds later: failed to join game.

But when I connect to the gameserver for a second (as a player) and immediately connect to the GOTV server after that I can just connect like normal.

Anyone with knowledge on this?

Did you set tv_advertise_watchable 1?

Also, you can just set the server to not hibernate. sv_hibernate_when_empty 0

Hi all. I make tv.cfg from this:

than i go to my server srcd and write exec tv.cfg i also set tv_advertise_watchable 1 and sv_hibernate_when_empty 0 but still cant connect to my gotv wit :27020. When i write tv_status it says: tv_status
GOTV[0] not active.

Did you set a GOTV-Port? Doesn't look like, tbh. Set a GOTV-Port and make sure that it's not used by something else.
