Does anyone know if CS 1.6 is still "popular"/"active" would love to bring up such community again, I miss the old times.
CSGO doesn't give me the same feeling I had when I played CS 1.6 with diffrent mods, kz, surf, gungame, etc.

Still worth to run a community on CS 1.6?

Using mods, probably.
Otherwise I don't think so.

Yes, modded or non-modded, CS 1.6 is still "active" but there's no guarantee that you will get players right away. Even running CS GO servers doesn't necessarily mean that you will get players. You will have to find your own way to get players.
