True, they become more and more affordable, even the PVA and IPS panels. But this time I want three of the same brand and type (especially because of Linux -or better said, closed source nVidia crap- compatibility). That's quite an investment for me at the moment.

Yeah, indeed. I'm planning the exact same thing. Currently owning 2 24" and one 27"... even the different resolutions (1920*1080 and 1920*1200) suck...
