I didn't have the latest sdktools.games.ep2.txt file on the autoupdater so it was marking them as unknown for a few days.

Everything else looks normal.

I've started using the 1.1 snapshots, and found that they fixed a lot of the stuff for TF2. However, now I am curious about the auto update. I've restarted it several times, and nothing has worked. I am using HLSW to take a look at the versions, and it doesn't seem to update at all.

I guess I have to manually do this then for all future versions?

Let mek now what I can do.

Auto updater seems to only update to the newest release.

As the 1.1 branch are not technically releases but beta clients, it does not update to the newest 1.1

it has one of my servers shut down as well, wont load on linux.

Reinvented: It only updates the files in the gamedata/ dir, not your entire SourceMod installation.

Lebson506th: Not entirely sure what you mean because the updater only exists in the 1.1 beta snapshots, but it sounds like the same issue as above.

Whenever the auto updater runs i see this:

L 07/11/2008 - 19:54:58: Update Status: 0 - Latest 1.0.0.3

Meaning what it sees are the "latest" is the latest release, not the latest snapshot... so it's not doing anything until the snapshot it considered a release from it's point of view.


I wasn't pointing out a bug or anything (unless that's not how it's supposed to be), i was just responding to Reinvented

The auto updater seems to have issues connecting, I keep seeing these message in the gamedata log file:

L 07/16/2008 - 114:19: Couldn't connect
L 07/16/2008 - 1141: Couldn't connect
L 07/16/2008 - 114:43: Couldn't connect
L 07/16/2008 - 114:55: Couldn't connect
L 07/16/2008 - 115:08: Couldn't connect

and the server won't start, it just keeps cycling the 1st map on our linux TF2 server.

i wish i could give it to you, my host is being obstinant in helping, i need a new host, when in doubt, shut em out.

for some reason, the server was updated (steam update) and wouldn't start, im at a loss for why, and then i tried updating sourcemod itself, still down, to get it to load i had to disable mani and sourcemod both.

if you would like to see the files with you rown eyes i will give you the access to it. it has happened with a second one on the same host as well.

the first was linux, second was windows.
