Hey-o, guys. Attribute 45 allows one to give a "bullets per shot bonus" to weapons. The Force-A-Nature is the only weapon that currently has this attribute. I, however, would like to apply a bullets per shot reduction instead. Is there a way to simply add a "bonus" that reduces the bullets per shot instead? There doesn't seem to be a bullets per shot reduction attribute.

To elaborate, the REAL problem here is that I can't seem to override the BulletsPerShot attribute defined in the Scattergun's tf_weapon_scattergun.txt file itself. I can change it, but it still fires 10 shots in-game regardless of what I change it to. Is there any way to override it, or, at least, modify it with TF2Items attributes?

I'm pretty sure you can just use decimals to reduce bullet per shot so 0.5 for half as many shots. It's not that complex lol.

Yes, this should work.

No, that does not work. Sorry to disappoint you, twitchatic, but attribute 45 adds "+<percentage>% bullets per shot ", so, unless you can cause the game to add a negative percentage and subtract from the base stat, which I do not believe you can.

Did you test it, or are you just going by Valve's oft-wrong attribute descriptions?

The game code uses the attribute value as a straight multiplier, and thus I find myself repeating my prior post: Yes, this should work.

But hey, what do I know about this TF2Items thing anyway.

So rude...
It does work. Tested and approved.
Just figure out the rest
