How to auto-restart on crash under Linux?

Hello everyone, I am using Linux Ubuntu 12.10 and I compiled the 2.6.38.8 version over my core. I want to know this: How can my server come up, if it suddenly crashes?

So do you know how to modify the hlds_run to restart on crash?

I type this, because I want to run the server in the background, so I will have no idea that the server is down. I think that will be, because now I run it from terminal and it crashes on every next day. Rarely, but do. The last thing in the terminal is:

Segmented fault (core dumped)

But above I can see this:

Server crashed - something like this.

If it crash again today I will copy and paste it here.

Erm, anyone noticed that he is using hlds_run? The last time i installed a linux server i didn't had a hlds_run file anymore.
So you should update your server with steamCMD first as old binaries are not supported here.

I have to update it and the hlds_run is still there bro, still running wih the same ommand, so I need your assistance.

I checked amxmodx/logs, but there ware no logs of crash. It seems that not the server, but the terminal under linux crashes.

It is still there because the files do not get removed or overwritten. Backup your custom files and addons folder, delete your old server and install a new one using steamCMD.
Then you need to run the new server, there is already a howto and wiki available iirc.
