Hello,

I have a Half Life 1 DM server running, but also want to run a TF Classic server on the same server. I just did it and it corrupted my HL 1 server. Luckily it is a virtual server and I rolled back via an earlier snapshot.

My HL server is in C:\HLSVR

To install TFC I ran:


C:\steamcmd
Steam>login ****
Steam>force_install_dir c:\HLSVR
Steam>app_set_config 90 mod tfc
Steam>app_update 90 validate

Should I choose a different install directory? It did create the TFC folder though but messed up HL1.

Any ideas?

1. connect anonymously.
2. make a HL/CS server firstly.
3. then update it by installing the TFC one.

Hello,

I already have a HLDM server running (up for months), we want a TFC now, but when I ran my commands above to install this it reset our HL server as if it was a fresh install.

it's an update, it removes metamod (from liblist.gam) and resets a lot of files to default settings.
