Ok, idk if this is the meta and source fault but noone except me can join my server, i got it public. when my friends try to join it says something like "After 10 tries failed" or something like that. anyone know of a fix?

wats your startup commandline ? dont use ip address. if behind router, use http://portforward.com to forward ports.

well what ports do i portforward?

depends on your startup port. Try forwarding 27015 for a start.

Else you can specify which port your server uses using the commandline -hostport 27017 -port 27017

this is my dedi command line:

left4dead2\srcds.exe -console -game left4dead2 +hostip 24.***.***.*** -ip 192.***.***.*** +hostport 27016 +clientport 27006 +maxplayers 8 -nohltv +exec server.cfg +map c1m1_hotel

note the WAN IP and the LAN IP

I have 3 game servers running behind this firewall (look at the attached image). They listen to ports 27015, 27016 and 27017. The rest of the ports are for other L4D(2) and Steam related ports, that are required to be opened.

I run the server with the following command:
srcds.exe -console -nocrashdialog -autoupdate -game left4dead2 +hostport 27016 -secure +map c1m1_hotel

If nothing helps, try over Tunngle (http://www.tunngle.net/) or Hamachi (http://www.hamachi.cc)

If you'r using this tools you dont need to portforward!
