I have declined that pull request because i had a few of the same changes. However, i did add your name to the Author in the plugin info for the support!

Thanks! There's a typo on line 157: you need to change to if(!(flags & CPS_NOATTACHMENT)), otherwise if somebody will not assign CPS_NOATTACHMENT flag to CPS_SetSkin native, there will be no animation for the prop. Other than that everything works fine.

Hey Mitchell its me again. Plugin works fine so far, but its because I've compiled it by myself.
Some people reported problems with animations... As far as I can see plugin wasnt compiled against 'small typo' update on github, can you recompile plugin and update on github? Thanks!

So this looks interesting.

What's the advantage of this vs., say, Model Manager?

As far as i know of model manager, this is completely different. This is mainly used as a developer tool. Instead of changing the player's model this parents a prop to the player with a certain model you want (usually the same model of the player.)
I know this works with Fistful of Frags with the best results (being able to parent hl2 models to the player)

Okay, neat. Do you think it would be beneficial if that plugin was updated with this method of skin adding or no?

It's not really recommended as this doesn't work as you would think in tf2.

The skin would be invisible, since you cant attach any entity to the player, to prevent players from attaching hats they dont own etc.
