does sm and source engine support creation / and uploading symlink to client?

you can't create a symlink on the client as that would be a vulnerability issue. You can use a symlink for your server to place the custom content in a symlink path however and it will download on the client to the normal paths. Although this only works if you aren't using sv_downloadurl for fast download.
