On a clean instalation of CSGO I get this message:

Banning 89.46.xxx.xx for rcon hacking attempts L 01/15/2014 - 22:13:03: Addip: "<><><>" was banned by IP "permanently" by "console" <IP "89.46.xxx.xx">

The rcon is set correctly on the website.
The website and game server run on the same machine, they use the same ip address.

I use SourceBans 1.4.10 (as website) and 1.5.0 (that beta version) as a game plugin. I have to mention that the same thing happens when I try 1.4.10 plugin version.

you sure you enter rcon_password correct into sourcebans?

Of course I did. It queries the server for about 5 mins and then I get the message shown above.

Try rconning the server with your client's console:

PHP Code:

rcon_password <server's rcon password here>
rcon_address <server's ip here>
rcon status 


Edit: If it fails and server bans you, then you enter it wrong(also if rcon_password is set to "" in server.cfg, that'll also cause it to fail because rcon_password "" means rcon is disabled) and copy the value you put for rcon_password in server.cfg and paste it in rcon password box on sourceban's edit server page.

I always use rcon to manage the server and it works just fine, I don't get banned or anything.

what type of rcon you use because sourcemod has it's own rcon command(sm_rcon)

I don't quite get that.
I user rcon commands as in "rcon changelevel ..." et cetera.
