I would like to ask if having a custom description is possible during the map loading on a CSGO server.

I saw this GIF and I was curious if it's server or client side. If it is Server side, please guide me on how it's done.

This is designed to display information for the map, and should not be being forced by servers to display server-specific information.

That is it's original intent yes. However if someone were to promote certain things on it and players do not complain, I do not see the harm in that.

In fact, I'm asking this because I would like to know if it's editable. When I load custom settings, all it says is, "please wait while we load the map's custom configs" and to me that pretty ugly and I would like to change it.

So now I wanna ask, is it possible?

The problem is that the file is tied to the map and never overwritten - so if you put stuff regarding your server there, whenever the client plays that map on any server what you put will be displayed (and you can never update it ).

Ahhh so it's basically stuck to the map right?

If the map I'm playing on doesn't have any descriptions, I'll be stuck with "Please wait while we load this map's custom settings".
