New to SourceMod (very old AMXX user)

Hey all, amazing to see this community is still going. I've recently just opened a CS:GO server. You can check out our steam community group at www.steamcommunity.com/groups/epichosts

I am pretty new to SourceMod, and am looking for some recommendations for my CS:GO server regarding plugins and such. I'm also looking for an auto announcer that states text on everyone's screen during gameplay (on the HUD and in the textbox if possible during configuration) stating advertisements and whatnot, this would be my first plugin I want, and any other recommendations that people wish to give!

Also, as it's a pure clean CS:GO server, I need a little help getting SourceMod working on it.

EDIT: Should have probably read the "FAQ: Sourcemod Newbies Guide" Sorry all

But I can't get it to work, when I write "meta version" it says unknown command, and I've definitely installed everything correctly.

you need to install metamod:source first... then don't forget to create your metmod.vdf file... http://wiki.alliedmods.net/Installing_SourceMod

Not only do you need both MetaMod: Source and SourceMod, but both need to be recent snapshots (MM:S 1.9 and SourceMod 1.5).

As for plugins, it sounds like you want Advanced Advertisements, assuming the newer colors work on CS:GO.

I'm also looking for one more plugin. I need a plugin that makes the admins unique, showing players which admins are online on the server, either by colour or a rank next to their name or anything of the relative. Any recommendations?

The Custom Chat Colors plugin is perfect. It gives a color to an admin, so that'll do. Thanks!

However with sv_alltalk 1 on CS:GO, has anyone noticed that this also makes it so the other team can hear say_team (u talk) too? Should I report it to VALVe as it may be a bug?

I think I noticed that too...

That'd probably be a discussion for the mailing list.

Most of the CSS plugins are incompatible with CS:GO anyway, so I just gave up. Even though I appreciate the support! sv_alltalk 1 will do for now, but I still need to find a way for people who are dead/spectating to have the ability to talk through microphone to alive players (because none of the plugins I tried work)
