im guessing this is what your refering to with the still Zoe's voice problem, but with this plugin there is always a glitch on the L4D1 maps thats default and unavoidable last i knew, the L4D2 survivors will always be duplicates of the L4D1 survivors with the L4D2 survivors skin just layered over them, thats why the voices and names of bots get duplicated in the L4D1 maps, the L4D2 maps work fine on Linux, Zoey is a duplicated Rochelle on Windows tho (this is cuz of some bug with the L4D1 maps where L4D2 survivor entities dont like being spawned on the L4D1 maps, if i remember correctly)

the issues i usually had with players going idle was fixed by the 5+ player identify fix or 5+ player bug fixes plugins, so im not sure about that one, havent seen them switch to infected models either myself

it's The Passing CSM Fix 2.0 working? in my server when map changes everyone with l4d1 character got kicked or teleported away from spawn area.

My friend and I have been experimenting with hexing extra survivor models over and for the most part this seems to work, however I notice the two models provided (Reimu and Taokaka) appear to crash the sever as soon as you attempt to use any sort of incapped crawling (I currently use this plugin for the functionality: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=1291588 ) with the error:

Reimu's crash message is pretty much identical. I'm unsure why this occurs as our own hexes appear to at worst T-Pose when crawling. It seems to be a precaching issue, but the other models don't share this issue inherently and as far as I know they aren't directly precached either? Hopefully some light can be shed onto this as to why it only happens when the incapped crawling is initiated.

EDIT: upon further testing I notice using things like CSC to change a bot works until they are defibbed or the map changes, then they almost always revert to another bot (ie a custom model ellis will become straight up nick on revive/map change)
Unsure if this is the mod's behavior exactly but it seems consistent with other plugins used-- is there any possible workaround for bots to stay as the custom-model survivors without resetting?

Edit#2: It would seem the above model-related crash has something to do with the file path and how the plugin reads the MDL files. If the hexed pathname exceeds the characters in the base modelname (ie survivor_gambler.mdl) it will cause the server to crash on plugin-aided animations (like the incap crawling) or, more strangely instead of crashing, turns survivor into coach but only when crawling. Funny error to witness, but usually avoided by making the custom model name shortened.


Edit #3: It would also appear the provided .sp file no longer compiles properly on newer/beta branches of Sourcemod. This could be a fluke with the beta branch I am using but I figured it was also worth noting here for feedback and reference purpose.

Hey posting this here l4d2csm00 !csm to select 1 - 8 survivors, !csc if admin to select a targets character and change it to 1 - 8 survivors. Basically a streamlined, and simplified version of CSM with no bugs found under linux dedicated servers. & mainly character select options with no infected select options to prevent crashing of servers.

Im also posting this here because im going to update this l4d2 arcade edition mod me and some friends have been developing and i wanted to link to a better source the mod will be using.

so next update to that mod will link the l4d2csm00 link to this page of this plugin. As this plugin was modified from a more earlier version of this plugin, however streamlined and no bugs found under linux.

Couple of questions:
  • How would I change the viewmodel of a client if I wanted to implement Reimu's existing viewmodel onto users that select her?
  • The Reimu model has custom HUD elements, originally meant to overwrite Rochelle's HUD images. Is it possible to change these to custom images on the client's end using Sourcemod?
  • So far, the only bug I know of is the config parser returning a garbage list of custom characters when the config is empty. Other than that, are there any other glaring issues with the edits I've made?

OK! Now that I'm at page 83, im totally confused over what I should be downloading and installing. This mod seems great to change my character AND change my character model... i think.

Can someone kindly point me at which update/package i should get?
