Every once in a while someone will come in and do some kind of cheat that gives them like 10 achievements at once. He'll do it for like a minute and its the same achievements over and over. I think he's doing it to lag the server or make it crash.
I noticed a little bit of lag on the gamplay and not to mention the spam on the chat text.
Possible to create something where max is 3 achievements at once, if more then it kicks them?

Just curious if that was possible.

You could always turn sv_cheats on and then block all cheat commands.

But then no one would be able to get achievements...

It's possible to detect who earned an achievement
and it's possible as well to kick them if they for example
earned 3 achievements within 20 seconds.

I'll see if I can get some minutes for that after a "short visit" at work
later on.

A small plugin could turn cheats on, then back off at the start of each map. The game checks to see if cheats have been turned on at all that map, and if they have it wont allow achievements.

Alternatively, you could use an extention to prehook CTFPlayer::ShouldAnnounceAchievement(void) and return false.

I've seen this hack in play in my server too, I don't think it actually causes lag does it? I may be wrong but as far as I know, earning achievements wouldn't cause (that much) lag.

But I see what you mean; it is a major cheat that messes up the gameplay for others.. Although, the Turbo gameplay in my server is already quite messed up.

But more to the point, I would like to see the VAC ban them. They have no place in real gaming and spoil the game for others.

They will definitely be VAC Banned. VAC just takes a while to actually ban them so that hackers don't know which program actually caused it. If its a big problem you can run Voogru's mod that disables players on Cafe accounts from playing on your server. This will probably cut a fair amount of players out (probably not noticeable) but players who enjoy cheating tend to use cafe accounts to do it, since it is not their account and they don't have to worry about it.
