Hello guys, I have an idea of csgo plugin.
This idea is add a background picture when loading map for custom maps like official csgo maps.

What I think is, if the map name is "de_map", client will download "de_map.jpg", and make that picture as map loading background of "de_map".

So I try to write a plugin but this doesn't download pictures for client.

Why would you want to change the background image of another person's map.

I want to change the background image to that map's image.
Just like you load a map which you subscribe from steam workshop.

That sounds like a very good idea, it is horrible looking at a bland picture when joining a server running a custom map

Same here.
I tried to put the image in a .res file, like so:

Resources
{
"resource/overviews/de_winter_nuke.txt" "file"
"resource/overviews/de_winter_nuke_radar.dds" "file"
"resource/overviews/de_winter_nuke_lower_radar.dds" "file"
"maps/de_winter_nuke.jpg" "file"
}

Everything in the .res file gets downloaded, except for the .jpg image.
