For clarity, I consider what I did (installing CLIENT/updating CLIENT/setting up Steam Guard) to be a workaround, not a fix. There was never previously a requirement to have CLIENT installed for a Dedicated Server, and there should not be a requirement for it now. I'm expecting that Valve will fix this (eventually) and just provided the workaround to get the server back online now.

Linux, whatever settings we use l4d2_addons_eclipse 0 or l4d2_addons_eclipse 1, its reading from the addonconfig file. either block all players addons, or allow all players addons.

We tested with updated libraries like this, which is what we do first when we see an issue with Steam connections. These did resolve some problems, but caused servers to fail to respond to queries correctly. We will need an actual fix released by Valve that doesn't break different sections of the game server depending on the Steam library used.

I already brought up the LAN mode issue to the team in charge of this update and they said that Kerry Davis (the VALVe employee overseeing these recent updates) is already looking into the problem. We should expect an update soon that addresses this issue. I have no knowledge of when it will be released so for now all we can do is wait.

I think someone did update the signatures. Give it a go. You just need to update signatures and leave the binary that I gave you as default one wouldn't have that extra native support.

also I was just in a public lobby VALVE SERVER OFFICIAL DEDICATED

a user https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199139266954/ joined the game with korean symbols in the name called an ALLTALK vote and I saw this spam in console with 6 people crashing back to lobby

which may suggest the CALLVOTE system has some overflow errors leading to this very exploit

on a side note I also saw the votes extension breaking as well which may also suggest someones working on a fix for this very exploit

@canadianjeff, Is my extension (builtinvotes) version breaking? I think it still works well even after the update. How can this be reproduced, should I put his nickname '𝘞𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴_ >> 元' and start voting? I noticed you are talking about alltalk voting (game voting). Is this implemented on your servers using the builtinvotes extension or not?
