i thought it where only 4 but in the plugin Timeprojektor there is a hud msg on channel 13
how many hud msg channels are available?
or is this a plugin bug?

It's part of hl engine, so i think they cannot do it ... but maybe they can ... who knows ...

hmmm I know you can only display 4 at once but I would have to argue against the 1 being the same as 5, unless you display 1,2,3,4 and then 5, then 1 would go away.

I have taken all the plugins we use and given all the custom plugins separate hud channels, now none of them overwrite eachothers hud messages, unless there is more than 4 up at once which is not very common on our server anyway. I am using channels 1 - 25 right now.

Sure, more than 4 HUD channels happens rarely

but my plugin http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=1847blocks a whole channel as long as the player is alive (but it is worth)
so there ar only 3 left, thats a bit hard than
but maybe amxx team can change it (hope so )
