Heya,

Wondering if its possible to apply certain effects to standard models. Id like to target the grappling hook's actual "hook part" which should be a standard .mdl just like the rocket launcher's rockets for example.

On a side note unworthy of a dedicate thread, is it possible to buff the grappling hook in any way? ie. its traveling speed or anything?

Thanks!

For anything that TF2Items can do, the answer is no. You can only apply attributes and such to the weapon entity.

Now... as I mentioned in a previous thread, the hook itself is a projectile with item class "tf_projectile_grapplinghook"

Having said that...

I can't say I've tried, but if you want to try messing with its item attributes in TF2Items_OnGiveNamedItem, the Grappling Hook's Item Definition Index is 1152 and its item class is "tf_weapon_grapplinghook"
