Hey guys.

Was wondering if it would be possible to change the he grenade explosion effect server side
in Counter-Strike: source with a sourcemod plugin.

So i could change the default he explosion effect to this:

I dont know much about scripting with Sourcemod/Eventscript, but i have seen some custom grenade effects for CS 1.6 (no recent CSS ones though).

If it would be possible, then i would love to see a script that also gives a subtle shellshock effect using the blur shader that was introduced to CSS fairly recently (that could look pretty cool when done right).

Yer that would be really nice if when you were damaged by the nade your screen would blur for a quick second.

Sourcemod coders, we ask you... Can you help us?

Yes this is possible, I'm not entirely sure how similar you can make it look to the image you posted, but by all means its possible, by hooking entities using SKDHooks

That explosion image i posted is from a client side explosion effect for Counter-strike: source that i tested.

It works fine client side, i just really want it serverside. If someone could make an sdk hook ... i would be so happy and do some gfx work in exchange!

Can anyone do this? I think it would be used on a variety of servers and even incorporated into other existing plugins if scripted well.
