Doesn't look like the SM team are interested in doing so:
https://github.com/alliedmodders/sourcemod/issues/2185

Defender is not flagging v6966 or greater as having a virus.

About 12 weeks ago, I downloaded 12 different SM 1.11 builds, going as far back as v6952. All 12 versions were flagged as trojan/malware infected (I've already covered this weeks ago in my post 14 and 15 here). Eventually, I settled on using the then-current build 6964.

If 6966 is not being flagged as you say, I may try the latest current build, 6968. Of course, my biggest concern is that I've whitelisted so many files and folders on my PC, coz I have server builds across all of my 4 drives. I won't know if the whitelisted folders will bypass the latest build as well. When I get time, I will try to download the newest build on a separate PC and see if Defender flags that. If it does not, then I may just use the latest build to bypass all the issues I've been currently dealing with.

With the 20th Anniversary Half-life 2 update we are forced to use the most recent build. Of course Mcafee and Windows Defender flag the sourcemod download as a virus and sourcepawn.jit.x86.dll gets flagged as a virus and I have to manually exclude it in order to run sourcemod at all.

Dev Team get your stuff in order please

You need to report it to your AV vendor as a false positive, multiple reports by different people is the only way it'll get noticed and fixed.
