Should be possible right? What's the entity name for it? I haven't checked out any info on the new game mode, so I'm not sure of the entity name and such.

There are multiple new, required entities for it, including a logic entity that gamerules needs to be aware of.

"passtime_ball" but like psychonic said, it's not going to do you a lot of good. I don't think you can even pick it up without the entity that's normally parented to it.

Would it be possible to spawn in the required entities via SourceMod, set all the proper KeyValues and then spawn a ball for funsies?

Though I have no idea if it'll work without the passtime_logic entity.

Likely the game spawns the tf_weapon_passtime_gun entity on a player when the _ballplayertoucher entity touches a player (and removes it when said entity stops touching a player). This entity is normally parented to the ball... possibly an invisible brush that surrounds the ball?

Again, I haven't tested it, nor do I know if this works without the passtime_logic entity on the map.

So some info on this from a mapping perspective. I was able to map a passtime ball into a map I'm making but I was unable to pick the jack up. Seems that the map has to be prefixed with "pass_" in order for ball pickup to work.

Perhaps there would be some way to spawn the tf_weapon_passtime_gun entity on the player via a plugin? Maybe that could be a workaround. Either that or I could always try mapping in a parented tf_weapon_passtime_gun entity on every player in the map itself.

Also, I just made a test map prefixed with pass_. Ball still couldn't be picked up. So I really have no idea what's going on.

Maybe a custom logic need to be on the map.

Or a capture zone I know in some map item_teamflag can't be picked up if we haven't a func_capturezone
