i want to instal sourcebans but my webhost say that it isnt gona work beceause we running on php5.4

er what? Sourcebans fully supports PHP 5. I know 5.4 works for sure because thats what I run

try rev161 which is compatible with latest php

Tell your host this, "Before release 1.4.11, sourcebans 1.4.10 release wasn't compat with latest php, but there were a few revisions after that and one of them changed use of mysql to mysqli and then finale revisions before 1.4.11 release finalized it's compatibility with latest php. Then sourcebans 1.4.11 was released."
