He disabled the bat, due to the fact that there is to much problems with it, but if u play on single player, it works perfectly
I should know, because I asked him like 3-4 times about the bat but when I played on single player one day, it was there...without any bugs or glitches what-so-ever. Even though u cant get the baseball bat in a multiplayer game, u can always play on single player
Even though u get the baseball bat in the multiplayer games, its still buggy. Hard to explain the bug though, but if u pay enough attention to when your holding the bat, u'll c what im talking about, BUT if u play in single player(whether its in l4d2 or even l4d1 maps) there isnt ANY bugs/glitches with the bat what-so-ever.

I have a very strange problem with this plugin: it works perfectly when server runs in GUI mode, but when I try to run the server with a -console parameter, it crashes when first player tries to enter it! It happens when about 80% of the map is loaded already. When I remove this plugin, the server works perfectly in both console and GUI modes. Can this be fixed? I don't think I'm the only one who experiencing this problem...

Since no one else has posted it, I'm sure you are the only one with the problem

Try this, remove ALL plugins from 14 to the end, except Weapon Unlock. Additionally remove the autorestartmap.smx

Then try it. It may not be this plugin that is crashing. It may be another that is crashing when this one exists.

Hmm, interesting.

We just now suspect it was a other issue causing the crashing, so might be able to run this again.

Hi,I figured you'd need the valuable information I have.
I have your plugin on my server and it works great,so I think you should stop working on the guns and start working on the knife.
I have pre-ordered l4d2 and noticed something rather interesting.
When I edited melee_manifest,added in the "hunting_knife",I noticed another script called knife.txt,which apparently is the original version of the knife(for german players).This means that every single client has the KNIFE.txt and BASEBALL_BAT.txt.Its just a matter of triggering them.
If you can find a way to "trigger"(bluff the system making them think you are from germany or someone is from there) the knife,it should spawn as normal.
However,if you use a completely new script(hunting_knife.txt),the system will read it as a CUSTOM weapon,and clients in your server will experience bugs,including you,unless they have the hunting_knife.txt in their files as well.This goes for the riot shield,but I don't give a shit about that.It blocks half of your view and doesn't have its own sound.

If you have heard about the sam5506,upon release,many people will experience bugs about it as well.

The only solution for this is to make the clients download yoru file of some sort?

I tried to run server in console mode with just basic set of plugins and [L4D2] Weapon Unlock" (0.8.1), and it still crashes! Without the weapon unlock plugin it works fine in console mode.

It's really weird... I've always been thinking that if plugin works on the server, it works it no matter what UI the server using and vise versa, because the server's core anyway the same. Anyway, maybe there is a way to run the server in a GUI mode (with no "-console" parameter) without the start menu at last, so it could be automatically restarted by a .bat file in case of crash, just like the server in console mode?

Any ideas?
